Robert Jones

News editor

After graduating with a sports journalism degree, Robert joined Crash.net to lead the WorldSBK coverage in 2021, while also providing MotoGP coverage. Fulfilling that role for over three years, Robert was able to put his knowledge about all things racing to the test.

In August 2024, Robert then transitioned to Visordown to continue covering motorsport alongside news from the wider two-wheeled world.

A keen rider himself, Robert always had a passion for riding bikes and after beginning his journey into the two-wheeler world in 2019, things only grew from there. Starting out with a Kawasaki 125cc bike, inspired by the colours of the KRT WorldSBK team, Robert spent nearly two years riding and improving his ability, before moving on to a Ducati Monster 937. More recently he’s been a Yamaha XSR700.

Robert has been a rider of all four seasons since passing his test, year-in-and-year-out, providing him with the experience needed to give viewers and readers the very best information whether that’s on kit or a new bike to hit the market.

In his spare time, Robert is a keen cross fitter and takes part in competitions throughout the year, while also enjoying a game of tennis, when the British weather plays ball…
