Clean as you go with the Clarke CW2D parts washer
If you are fed up with working on oily or greasy engine parts, a bench-top washer like the Clarke CW2D and some wash liquid are the answer.

My dad was always a stickler for cleaning engine parts before putting them back on whatever it was we were fixing. Be it carbs, linkages, brake calipers or hubs, if it came off and was about to go back on, the chances are a 13-year-old me would be standing in the corner of the workshop giving it a clean in the parts washer.
That particular parts washer was huge, to the point that as a lad I’d have to stand on the pallet just to use it, making it too big for most home workshops. Thankfully, not all parts washers were created equal, and Clarke has just the ticket for any budding mechanic, in the form of the CW2D parts washer.

It’s compact enough that you could move it around the workshop if required, yet big enough to take on most motorcycle-related tasks. The dimensions of the bath are 460x340x230mm, so you won’t completely need to strip down that CG125 engine to get it ready for some paint.
Flow from the movable supply nozzle is a healthy 90 litres per hour, and an integral replaceable filter is on hand to deal with the gunk and metal shavings that will inevitably end up in the 19 litre tank.

For more stubborn cleaning tasks (the kind that require more gusto than an old paint brush can provide), Clarke also offers an optional hose with an integrated stiff-bristle brush (Product Code 050810915) and cleaning solutions in a multitude of sizes.
