Visordown Insta Live Christmas Special With Halvarssons
On the 29th of December at 7pm grab your eggnog or mulled wine, and join us on the Visordown Instagram Live Christmas Special with Halvarssons.
DO you struggle to dress for the weather? Don’t understand why your waterproofs leak? Struggling to work out the best way to clean your gear? Or have you had your armour freeze and break?
Sam will be joined by Ed Miles and the legendary sidecar racer Mick Wynn from Halvarssons and Lindstrands to answer all your clothing questions. There is no such thing as a silly question, from properly cleaning your waterproofs to single-layer vs double-layer jeans. Send your questions to sam.creedon-gray@visordown.com or DM us on Facebook or Instagram.
Halvarssons UK's Ed Miles and Mick Wynn
You may recognise Ed from his Bikerheadz videos, or you may have purchased clothing from him. He’s been selling motorcycle clothing since he was 14 and riding since he was 3 (don’t ask how that went, although the tree came off worse). He’s worked with all the major players, including
Fowlers, J&S, Infinity and Tran AM, plus he spent 15 years working Motorcycle Live! And feel free to ask about his MX racing history.
We will also be joined by the legendary sidecar passenger Mick Wynn. His career has included (deep breath):
A full-time BSB sidecar passenger
Finished 4th in the Championship
Made multiple Isle of Man TT appearances
Won the Scarborough Oliver’s Mount Championship riding with Craig Hallam and the Supreme Motorcycles team.
Won two Isle of Man TT races with Rob Fisher as a driver
Finished top four in BSB four times.
Finished third in the European championship.
And finished 14th as a Grand Prix rookie.
Although, after a big crash at the end of ‘95, he went from throwing himself around a sidecar to throwing himself into parts and clothing. He’s been Motorcycle Parts and Service Manager Heathrow: Manager of the year twice, J&S Accessories Manager, and worked for Tran Am, and Halvarsson/ Lindstrands directly before becoming Director of Wyngnut Ltd.
Both Ed and Mick perform layering workshops in the dark art of wearing the correct clothing to ride. As long as it’s not Bluetooth or Airbag, then they can help. (Although they’re more than happy to give their two cents).
Grab your Snowballs and mince pies, and come watch them answer your questions. Or if you’re feeling brave, you can ask your question live!
