Che Guevara's son leads motorcycle tours in Cuba
Ernesto Guevara shows riders the real Cuba
SLICK BACK HAIR, perfectly groomed moustache, mean looking expression. No, we're not talking about greasers - we're talking about the revolutionary hero that was Che Guevara, or even more so, his youngest son, Ernesto.
The 51 year old has opened a travel agency in Cuba that offers the opportunity to understand his father's passion for motorcycles, whilst touring the island on Harley Davidsons – including Touring Electra Glide, Sportster 1200 and V-Rod models.
With the option of two tours currenty available, one lasting six days at £1,900 and the other nine at £3,800, both include the bike, accomodation and meals. The trip's include Havana to Trinidad, Cienfuegos and Santa Clara, with a visit to Che’s mausoleum and the more expensive of the two has the addition of a beach at Cayo Santa María.
Although it seems expensive, the the tour focuses on emphasising the revolutionary roots of his father and is certainly an opportunity many would Che-rish - I couldn't resist.
