Marc and Alex Marquez go head-to-head in unusual drag race

Audi and Ducati once again decided to lock horns in a drag race, but this time with a major twist.

Ducati and Audi are no strangers to producing a head-to-head drag race challenge, but this latest rendition included quite a big twist.

What you’re expecting me to say is that the race featured both a rider and driver with similar levels of experience and skill with their respective machines. But no, this challenge was very different to that.

Instead, Audi and Ducati drafted in MotoGP’s top two riders of 2025, who just so happen to be brothers. Alex and Marc Marquez were the riders called upon to challenge each other, but more importantly, challenge the Ducati Panigale V4 S and the Audi RS e-tron GT.

Drag races between motorcycles and cars can get pretty compelling to watch, and very competitive for the rider and driver, which was again the case in this clip.

You may remember a story we brought up around October 2024, when the same two machines went up against each other. On that occasion, it was Ducati’s test and development rider, Alessandro Valia, going up against Carwow’s Mat Watson.

Those races were also short, fast, and very tight, with the new Panigale V4 S ultimately getting the better of the Audi.

This time around, with both machines in completely stock form once again, Marc and Alex each rode the Panigale V4 S once, as well as the RS e-tron GT.

Marc Marquez kicked things off by riding the Panigale V4 S, while his brother took the wheel of the Audi. The four-wheeler got a much better start, before Marc used the Panigale’s 216bhp and impressive power-to-weight ratio, which is double that of the Audi, to eventually reel the car in by the line.

What was a photo finish, was then replicated on run two when the pair swapped machines, but by watching the video below (which is in Spanish), you can be the judge of whether the Panigale V4 S got the better of the RS e-tron GT.
