2024 Aprilia Tuareg 660 gets new paint options and rally-inspired livery
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 has received updated paint choices for 2024, with three new options including a rally-inspired livery
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 will be updated in 2024, but not mechanically, only with a number of new paint options.
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 could be considered the underdog of the middleweight adventure class, being overshadowed by the likes of the Yamaha Tenere 700 and the revived XL750 Honda Transalp.
But it clearly remains a bike in which Aprilia holds a significant interest, as demonstrated by its commitment in 2023 to using the Tuareg platform as the protagonist for its return to the great African rally raids. This year, Aprilia has used a rally-prepped Tuareg 660 in the Italian Motorally series, and then found the podium with Jacopo Cerutti in its international debut at the Transanatolia Rally at the beginning of September.
This new exploration of rally has not yet led to a ‘rally special edition’ of the Tuareg like the World Raid version of the Tenere 700, for example, but Aprilia’s rally history is the inspiration for one of the production Tuareg 660’s new colour options for 2024. A new white, blue, and red ‘Dakar Podium’ choice mimics that was used by the Aprilia Racing rally raid effort that reached the podium of the 2010 Dakar Rally with the Chilean Francisco Lopez on an RXV 450.
The other two choices for 2024 are a little more ordinary, with the blacked-out ‘Atreides Black’ and slightly brighter ‘Canyon Sand’ completing the roster, themselves both completed by a red finish on the bike’s steel frame.
