Bike sales up by seven per cent in February
It's jelly and ice cream all round at dealers as registrations are on the up in 2018
Even though it was bastard cold and generally unpleasant, new bike registrations went up by seven per cent overall in February, according to the latest stats from the Motorcycle Industry Association.
The biggest growth has been in the 126-650cc range. There have been 32.1 per cent more new registrations in this category than over the same period last year, with the most popular model being the Honda CB500XA.
Adventure sport, custom and naked bikes went up by 16 per cent, enduro went up 18 per cent while supersport sales remained static.
However, scooter sales went down by eight per cent, presumably because people are stealing them instead of buying them...
