Ducati Supersport 950 S gains new "Stripe Livery" paint job
A new "Stripe Livery" paint scheme has been launched for the 2023 Ducati Supersport 950 S sports bike the Italian manufacturer.
The Ducati Supersport 950 S has gained a new paint job for 2023, with Ducati’s mid-range twin-cylinder sports bike receiving a new striped scheme.
The new “Stripe Livery” paint job for the Ducati Supersport 950 S, arriving for the 2024 model year bike, removes the red paint of the standard job and replaces it with white. Then, an angular red stripe is placed on the front mudguard, and extends backwards along the fairing towards the fuel tank. Beneath the red stripe, there is a thicker, silver stripe.
The Ducati Supersport 950 has been around for a while now, since its release in 2017, and by 2023 it is part of an increasingly small portion of Ducati’s roster, that of the twin-cylinder motorcycles.
The top-line Panigales, Multistrada, Diavel, and Streetfghter all have V4s, or at least V4 variants, by now, so the Scrambler, Hypermotard, DesertX, Supersport and Panigale V2 are the focus of the Bologna brand’s traditional twin-cylinder layout.
Even among its V-twin siblings, the Supersport 950 S is somewhat forgotten. While the Scrambler range, the Hypermotard and the DesertX all have qualities which make them stand out from the other contemporary Ducati V-twins, the Supersport 950 S is hard to distinguish from the Panigale V2, especially from the surface.
Both are sports bikes powered by a 950cc(-ish) V-twin, but the V2 has slightly more performance, and the Panigale name, which, along with its use and success in the World Supersport Championship since 2022, gives it more prestige and value compared to the Supersport (which is somewhat reflected in the respective bikes’ price tags).
