The 2019 Macau GP is upon us to give us some motorcycle thrills (hopefully no spills) before the long winter break… and you can watch it LIVE over the next four days.

Blurring the lines between short track and road racing, the historic Macau GP – which has run since 1976 – is contested over the 6.2km Guia Circuit, a street venue lined with walls and Armco barriers.

You only need to look at these images and some heart-stopping on-board videos to know this is one of the most challenging races in the world. At worst, it’s certainly the most unique.

This year’s event will see Peter Hickman target a fourth win in five years on the Bathams BMW S1000RR – the bike he has previously succeeded on – while Michael Rutter will ride a detuned MotoGP-derived Honda RC213V prototype.

The racing stalwart has won a record-breaking eight Macau GPs over the years, his first coming more than decades ago in 1998, followed up by successes at 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2011 and 2012.

Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness will also be on the grid aboard a Paul Bird Motorsport Ducati Panigale V4 R as he seeks his second win around the streets of the Portuguese colony – located close to Hong Kong – while Ian Hutchinson is also eyeing a repeat of his win from 2013.

For those who want to watch it LIVE then all track action is being streamed through the Macau GP website - YOU CAN ACCESS IT HERE

If you're committed enough it will be an early start for some of the track action, but the RACE will be taking place at 07.55 UK time on Saturday
