Maeving opens Battersea Power Station pop-up store
As Battersea Power Station becomes open to the public, so does the pop-up store of the British electric motorcycle manufacturer, Maeving.
Maeving, the British electric motorcycle manufacturer, has opened a new pop-up store in Battersea Power Station.
The new pop-up store from Maeving is open from today (Friday 14 October 2022) until 11 November.
That means it will be open for four weeks, and during that time orders placed on the Maeving RM1 in-store will be eligible for an offer worth £200.
Specifically, those who order an RM1 in the Battersea pop-up store between now and 11 November will be able to receive their motorcycle with an accessory pack (including a disc lock, bike cover, and a lock and chain), as well as Maeving’s Track & Secure GPS app for free. The total cost for these items ordinarily would be £200.
The opening of the pop-up store in Battersea Power Station is part of the station’s renovation. Previously, the decommissioned power plant had hosted rounds of the Red Bull X-Fighters freestyle motocross competition back at the turn of the previous decade. Typically, the 2010 event is memorable for the poor weather.
The current renovation process began in 2012, and has cost the Malaysian developers SP Setia and Sime Darby £9 billion to get it to the state where it is now able to be opened to the public.
Naturally, Maeving is not the only brand with a Battersea pop-up. Others such as Nike, Lululemon, and Hugo Boss will all also have their own stores. But, they won’t have motorcycles in their stores, so naturally and objectively aren’t as cool.
Additionally, those visiting the Maeving store will be able to book RM1 test rides at either the company’s Maida Vale location, or their Coventry location.
