Who needs snowmobiles? Not Marc Marquez.

TRAVERSING snow is a treacherous business requiring caution and a specially adapted vehicle. Unless you're three-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez, in which case you hop on your Honda RC213V and pin it, leaving snowmobiles in a cloud of white spray.

Here's Marquez doing just that while filming for Red Bull in the Kitzbühel Alps, Austria, in a clip captured by an onlooker and posted on YouTube.

For a moment it looks like any other ski slope, before Marquez appears behind a snowmobile and tears past it like it's not moving, the RCV's back wheel skipping about in the powder.

The 23-year-old Spaniard also posted a photo on Twitter of himself with the bike, showing the 3cm tyre spikes used for the stunt.
