Lovable Italian workhorse makes its way to the UK - only 50 years after it was first introduced
Piaggio Ape ... now imported into the UK
PIAGGIO may be a name synonymous with scooters but they also make the Ape, a three-wheeled machine, which is the ultimate in cheap transport.
It originated from an Italian blend of scooter and pick-up bed, which is neither fast, exciting or - if you're a young Italian stud - much use for impressing local bella regazza.
However, after over 50 years Piaggio are now importing the Ape into the UK at a respectable £3,595. But you don't want one in standard trim, you want a race one like in the video above. That would spice up the morning commute.
