Richard Hammond injured after Mozambique motorcycle crash
Hammond left unconscious in the road after ‘slight shunt’
TV PRESENTER Richard Hammond has revealed he was injured in a motorcycle crash while filming in a remote part of Mozambique for The Grand Tour.
A source at the show told the Sun that Hammond was ‘travelling quite fast when he came off’ and that the incident ‘caused instant horror on set.’
Speaking to The Sun, co-presenter Jeremy Clarkson said that Hammond had hurt himself ‘quite badly’, but earlier today Hammond said, ‘Yes, I fell off, but yes I'm fine, sorry.’
Hammond described the accident, which happened the week before as ‘a slight shunt’, although he was reportedly left unconscious in the road. In an entry on his DriveTribe Fob Jockeys blog, he said: ‘I can confirm that yes, I fell off a bike, many times, in fact and yes, I banged my head and everything else. But life goes on.’
The incident is expected to feature in the next series of The Grand Tour.
