Two Wheels for Life million-Euro fundraiser starts today

MotoGP’s official charity Two Wheels for Life aims to change more lives than ever in 2018, with a target of €1 million with some incredible new initiatives.

The organisation is now launching the Million Euro challenge and will work together with MotoGP teams, riders, the paddock, FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports with the goal of raising the bar and meet the remarkable target of raising €1 million this season.

Two Wheels for Life has been working with the MotoGP Paddock for many years and carries out life-saving work in Africa, using motorcycles to get supplies and healthcare to those who most need it. Since it was founded in 1989 the charity has provided healthcare to the outstanding figure of 15 million people.

Now, alongside longstanding events on the calendar such as the Day of Champions at Silverstone, MotoGP teams will be running their own auctions throughout the season, giving MotoGP more chance to make a difference than ever and giving fans the chance to get their hands on some incredible memorabilia and experiences, all in aid of a good cause.

Signed memorabilia such as gloves or boots from each team and rider will be up for auction, as well as some unforgettable experiences in the MotoGP paddock such as Meet and Greets with the riders or the chance to have dinner with the team. Ahead of each and every European round of the season there will be something new that fans can bid for – with Repsol Honda kicking off the auctions before the MotoGP™ paddock returns to Jerez in southern Spain.

That’s where the winners of the first auction will collect their prize, with each winning bidder invited by Two Wheels for Life and the teams to collect – or experience – their prize at the specified circuit in Europe. Not only that, but the winning bidder and a guest will have access to the paddock on Saturday evening and attend a prize-giving event with the team and riders.

The first auction goes live today at 5pm. Find out how you can get involved in this historic initiative at here and take part in MotoGP’s push for €1 million this season.
