World’s largest Laverda collection for sale
81 bikes included in Laverda Museum sale
IF YOU’RE a fan of Laverda with cash to spend then you’re in luck because the entire contents of the Laverda Museum in the Netherlands, owned by collector Cor Dees, including 81 bikes, plus assorted memorabilia and collectibles, is up for sale.
The collection includes a range of model from the original orange bike brand, such as Massimo Laverda’s personal 1951 75 Turismo, a batch of original Laverda 650 and the Laverda 1000 3C prototype, shown at EICMA in 1971.
There’s also a collection of race bikes includes in the sale, including the 750 SFC that won the 1976 Belgian championship and the 125cc prototype from 1987, ridden by Allesandro Gramigni.
Mr Dees’s passion, experience and knowledge mean that the bikes in the collection are restored to a high standard and are said to be in mint or near mint condition.
The sale also includes documents, technical drawing, signs, photographs and a host of memorabilia including original race leathers and private belongings of those involved with Laverda and its racing exercises.
There’s no price on the collection, instead prospective buyers are invited to submit an offer and proposal.
