Yamaha NEO's gets new "Aqua" colour for 2023
Yamaha has introduced a bit more colour to the 50cc-equivalent NEO's electric scooter, with the new "Aqua" option arriving for this year.
Yamaha has announced a new colour for the NEO’s electric scooter, which has now been around in European markets for more than one year.
The Yamaha NEO’s debuted in Europe last year as Yamaha’s first production electric scooter. Slotting into the 50cc-equivalent category, the bike is not the fastest out there, and, with a range of 37km in the standard, single-battery, version, the NEO’s is hardly at the peak of ‘adventure scooting’.
But, as a commuter, it is a solid option, especially as its powertrain brings it exemptions in emissions-related taxes, of which there are generally more in the cities at which the NEO’s is aimed.
For 2023, Yamaha is updating the NEO’s range with a new colour, “Aqua”, which is available for both the standard and Dual Battery versions of the NEO’s this year.
The new Aqua colour goes alongside the “Midnight Black” and “Milky White” that have been available on the NEO’s since its launch in 2022, and brings an option to suit those who prefer some colour in their motorcycle’s paint scheme, as opposed to the binary black and white options of last year.
Prices for the Yamaha NEO’s do not change based on colour, whether you choose the new Aqua or the existing Midnight Black or Milky White options, but the Dual Battery (£3,799) version has an increase in price compared to the single battery (£3,350) edition.
