Motorcycle boots manufacturer Sidi Sport acquired by Italmobiliare
The Italian manufacturer, Sidi, which is known for producing motorcycle boots and cycling shoes, has been acquired by Italmobiliare.
Back in October Italmobiliare completed the 100% acquisition of Sidi Sport S.r.l. The Maser based company employs over 250 workers and distributes its products, including motorcycle boots, to over 60 countries around the world. Sidi was founded in 1960 by Dino Signori and was quickly established as one of the industry leaders.
Sidi have combined tradition and innovation, performance and design and advanced the frontier of sports footwear development.
Italmobiliare have taken over Sidi Sport for a reported payment of 86 million euros, which is the equivalent of £74,372,370 at time of writing (December 2022).
Sidi boots have been worn by the likes of Grand Prix motorcycling racing champions Giacomo Agostini and Loris Capirossi throughout their career. But most recently by the newest World Superbike Champion, Alvaro Bautista.
Another part of this acquisition sees Davide Rossetti becoming the Managing Director of Sidi. Rossetti has 25 years of experience in the field of sports equipment and has previously worked for Alpinestars.
