MV Agusta €30m capital injection | ADV and electric incoming!
The share capital increase is said to support MV Agusta with the Italian firm’s 5-year business plan and continued worldwide growth
MV Agusta has announced a €30M share capital increase to support its 5-year business plan and assist its worldwide growth. The increase brings MV Agusta’s net equity to €70m.

The news means two things. Firstly, the initiative marks the final and early settlement of all its obligations under the composition with creditors on a going concern basis. Secondly, it means new bikes and growth into new sectors.
The press release from MV talks of how the firm is in a ‘very strong position’, going on to say how it now hopes to focus on the development of the new engines and models. MV has long been missing from the adventure market, with the closest thing in the range being the super sporty, and ever so sexy, Turismo Veloce. A more rugged take on that would be a very welcome addition to a genre of motorcycle that has always lacked some Italian flair.
The other obvious move for MV, and one that is also confirmed in the press release, is the move into the field of electric motorcycles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go into detail regarding how these could look, but being MV you can bet your bottom dollar they will be aimed at the premium, performance end of the market.
Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta said:
“This capital injection will literally boost our business on all fronts, from the design, development, and production of new stunning bikes to the providing of world-class service to all our customers, to expanding our 3.0 worldwide dealers network. In 2021 we expect to exceed €100M revenue for the first time in our history and to triple our performance within the next 3 years.”
Massimo Bordi, Vice-Chairman added:
“MV Agusta is a great brand with a prestigious heritage. It’s always had very attractive products that everybody appreciates for their unique design, high performance, and advanced technology. That’s why I see great potential in the Company today, which hadn’t seen in the past years. We have finally created the conditions to allow MV Agusta to write a new successful chapter in the history of motorcycling.”
