Conor Cummins is set to take on at the 2026 Isle of Man TT with his own team, after revealing the new Conrod Motorsport project.

The Manx rider will celebrate his 20th anniversary of racing at the TT in 2026, after first making his debut at the famous road course in 2006.

Cummins is a 12-time podium finisher, as well as being the sixth-fastest TT rider ever, posting a personal best average lap speed of 133.116mph in 2022.

Cummins will field his new Conrod Motorsport team in the Superstock TT races, although his plans for the Supersport and Superbike classes have not yet been confirmed.

While Cummins is officially set to enter the 2026 Superstock races with his new team, what machinery that will be with is also unclear, as of this writing. This year Cummins competed for the Burrows Engineering outfit, achieving a pair of top six finishes in the Superstock class.

Speaking ahead of his new challenge, Cummins said:

“I’m really looking forward to the new challenge of running my own team. It’s a big step and a bit of a leap into the unknown, but it’s something I’ve considered doing at various stages throughout my career. With the growth of the business, now feels like the right time, and I’m really excited to be bringing my two passions together.”

“The competition is tougher than ever, so I’m under no illusion as to how much work this is going to take. But I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some great people and great teams over the years, and I’ll be bringing all that know-how together to make sure I’m in the strongest possible position when it’s time to go racing.”

The new Conrod Motorsport team is named after a cafe that is owned by Cummins and located in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man.
