Triumph TF 250-X motocross bike finally revealed IN FULL
Triumph has finally made a full reveal of the Triumph TF 250-X motocross bike, just over one month ahead of its full competitive debut
The Triumph TF 250-X - the British brand’s much anticipated 250cc motocross bike - has finally been fully revealed, including its full specifications.
Triumph has been around the motocross media mill in the last year or so since it made its official announcement regarding its participation in the Motocross World Championship and AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross series’ from 2024, and more recently since it unveiled its motocross bike for the first time earlier this year in October.
Finally, though, we now have a proper reveal of the bike, and we can finally stop referring to it as the Triumph motocross bike, because it also now has a name: TF 250-X.
An undoubtedly critical part of any motorcycle’s setup is its suspension, and Triumph has gone to the established engineers at KYB for their solution, with the Japanese brand providing a 48mm AOS coil fork and a three-way piggyback shock.
For braking, Galfer provides a 260mm front disc and a 220mm disc for the rear, while Brembo sort the calipers at both ends. Pro-Taper ACF carbon core bars and ODI half-waffle lock-on grips are also included in the specification, while the aluminium frame was revealed as part of Triumph’s short video series about the bike that went out earlier this year.
That features a forged aluminium piston, titanium valves, diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings, lightweight magnesium covers, and an Exedy Belleville clutch. The engine characteristics can be tuned via the MX Tune Pro app, which also contains diagnostic information.
A range of accessories will also be available for the Triumph TF 250-X, including an Akrapovic exhaust system, an X-Trig holeshot device, an Athena LC-GPA launch control module with selectable traction and launch control maps, an MX Tune Pro Wi-Fi module, and a bodywork replacement kit.

“This bike is 100% Triumph, conceived, designed, developed and manufactured by our world leading chassis and engine teams, with expert support from our racing champions. We started with a blank sheet of paper and began an all-new ground-up design, including a new engine, new chassis and new electronics.”

Alongside the TF 250-X, Triumph has announced that it will have 300 authorised motocross and enduro centres open by the end of 2024. “These are dedicated, fully trained, specialist off-road centres, providing sales, servicing, parts, clothing and race support,” Triumph says.

The TR 250-X will start from £9,795 OTR and orders can be placed now at Triumph’s new motocross dealers, with bikes available for delivery from Spring 2024.
