2023 Triumph Street Triple R, RS, and Moto2 Edition arrive
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple R and RS have been updated while a new Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition hits the track
TRIUMPH has announced a new more powerful Street Triple R and RS for the coming year, along with the introduction of a 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 Moto 2 Edition limited to just 765 units.
For the incoming model year, Triumph has boosted the appeal and ability of its legendary middleweight naked motorcycle, with the new bike boasting more power and technology than ever before. Benefiting from engine updates that are a trickle-down from the Moto2 World Championship, both the R and RS feature improved rideability, more power, torque, and ergonomics. Not only that, but Triumph has also announced a new Moto2 edition of the machine, featuring special graphics and revised ergonomics and unique clip-on handlebars.
2023 Triumph Street Triple R, RS, Moto2 Edition
The base model comes in the form of the Street Triple R, which is now boasting 120ps (118bhp), around 2bhp more than before. The next bike up, the more focused RS model, gains internal changes and a boosted compression ratio that help it to now pump out 130ps (128bhp). The improvements not only make this the most powerful Street Triple to date, but it also means the latest middleweight makes more power than the original 1050 Speed Triple released in 2005.
The familiar-looking engine also houses new pistons, con-rods and gudgeon pins, and a revised combustion chamber design. It’s also graced with new valves and camshafts, offering increased valve lift for improved intake, combustion, and exhaust efficiency. The 2023 Street Triples also feature a new gearbox, with tweaked ratios for this year.
Chassis-wise, the 2023 Street Triple is as trick as ever, with the R model boasting Brembo M4 calipers and Showa fully adjustable suspension. For the higher specification Street Triple RS, this comes equipped with top-specification Showa 41mm upside down big piston forks and an Öhlins piggyback reservoir rear shock. Moto2 edition owners will also get their hands on Öhlins 43mm fully adjustable forks and a piggyback reservoir rear shock. The Front wheel travel on all models is 115mm, with 131.2mm rear wheel travel on the RS and Moto2 Edition, and 133.5mm on the Street Triple R.

The IMU of the new bike has a whole load of new zeros and ones poured into it, with refined cornering ABS, traction control, and riding modes. With the R model, you get four modes to pick from (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable), while the RS and Moto2 Edition have a dedicated track riding mode. This mode is said to reduce the intervention of the rider aids, making them as unintrusive as possible while still providing the rider with a level of support should they need it.

The Street Triple R is available in two colours for 2023, Silver Ice with Storm Grey and Yellow graphics or Crystal White with Storm Grey and Lithium Flame graphics.
The Street Triple RS arrives in Silver Ice with Baja Orange and Storm Grey graphics, Carnival Red with Carbon Black and Aluminium Silver graphics, or Cosmic Yellow with Carbon Black and Aluminium Silver graphics.
The top-spec Moto2 Edition bike naturally lands in dealers adorned in a race-inspired livery, Triumph Racing Yellow with an Aluminium Silver rear sub-frame or Crystal White with Triumph Racing Yellow rear subframe.
The new Street Triple range starts at £9,595 for the R, with £11,295 for the RS and £13,795 for the Moto2 Edition. Bikes are expected to be landing in UK dealerships in Spring 2023.
