Beta has announced its new factory edition trials bike for 2023, available in various different versions.

The 2023 Beta Evo Factory trials motorcycle can be straightforwardly split into two categories, since there is a two-stroke and a four-stroke.

While the four-stroke version is available with only a 300cc engine, there are four different engine sizes available for the two-stroke: 125cc, 200cc, 250cc, and 300cc.

The 250cc and 300cc two-strokes both get new connecting rods - 1.5mm shorter than before - and a new crankshaft. These components were also introduced on the standard 2023 Evo, and are not present on the 125cc or 200cc variants.

Elsewhere, the two-stroke gets a magnesium crankcase with a black finish; a profiled clutch plate which is designed to reduce the flex of the plate; a black-anodised engine oil plug; revised engine mapping; and a new exhaust with a titanium header and a new heatshield.

As for the four-stroke, the only changes for 2023 are revised engine maps and a titanium muffler.

Both the four-stroke and the two-stroke have some chassis modifications, including gold fork tubes purely for aesthetic purposes as well as similarly purposed graphic updates.

Technically speaking, though, the rear shock’s valving has been revised for better balance with the front, and the linkage gets increased progressivity for greater traction and feeling.

The triple clamps are machined from billet aluminium and have a black-anodised finish - reducing weight and increasing rigidity. There are also black-anodised footpegs, chain adjusters and handlebar end plugs.

The brake discs come from Galfer (185mm front, 160mm rear), while BrakeTec provide master cylinders for both the brake and clutch and an anti-vibration system on the brake pads helps to reduce brake squeal.

Beta have gone to Michelin for tyres, specifically to the French company’s X-light range. The 2023 Beta Evo Factory comes with a 21-inch front wheel/tyre and 18-inch rear wheel/tyre.

Additionally, the Evo Factory gets the same redesigned radiator as the standard 2023 Evo, as well as the new tank cover.

Beta says the new bike will be available from February 2023.
