Bimota DB11 VLX: Supercharged superbike
For when a 165bhp 1198 motor isn't fast enough for you...

IF AN 1198 is simply not fast enough for you. If you feel that any engine making less than 170bhp should be reserved for a mobility scooter, then Bimota's new DB11 VLX is for you.
The DB11 is a new-for-2013 motorcycle from Bimota, based around Ducati's 1198 Testastretta motor, it's typical glorious, over the top, Bimota affair.
The DB11 VLX is something else: it comes with a supercharger, taking the motor's output to 190bhp. Yes please.
We don't know much else about the bike (can you imagine a company like Bimota running something as sensible as a Press Office) but it looks like it's using the same NiCrMo4 steel with aluminum plate chassis as the DB9, Marzocchi suspension front and rear with high/low speed compression damping, Brembo M4 radial calipers and lightweight OZ wheels.
We like the front fairing; it's part KTM RC8, part BMW K100RT but it works and who would have put those two together?
And yes, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.
