BSA Gold Star gets new colourway revealed at Motorcycle Live
The sleek-looking new Shadow Black option sees the BSA Gold Star get a stealthy makeover with a matt black engine and exhaust, and a gloss-finished fuel tank and bodywork.
Fans making their way to Motorcycle Live for the opening day tomorrow will get a nice surprise, as revived British brand BSA is showing off a new colourway on its lovely little BSA Gold Star.
The new colour is a simple enough design, but the overall aesthetic of the bike is completely changed as a result of it. The Shadow Black design features the aforementioned glossy black paint on the fuel tank and side panels, with a dark grey, shadow stripe down the middle, something that BSA claims ‘offers an authentic and uncompromising option for both enthusiasts and newcomers to the brand.’
It’s two years since the Gold Star made its public debut at the very same NEC show that is situated just a stone's throw from BSA’s historical home, in Small Heath, Birmingham. It was the first bike to arrive from the revived brand, and aside from an off-road-ready Gold Star Scrambler prototype, shown last year at Motorcycle Live, this colour change marks the biggest tweak to the model since its launch.
Speaking of the new Shadow Black colour option, marketing manager Roy Pinto, BSA Motorcycles, commented: “BSA has always designed motorcycles for the people and as such, we want to ensure that there is a Gold Star colour and option for every rider. Shadow Black is a sleek and stylish version of our classic reboot, with a streamlined and contemporary colourway.”
You can check out the new colour scheme on the Gold Star at Motorcycle Live which runs from tomorrow, the 18th until November 26th.
BSA Motorcycles and its full Gold Star lineup can be found in Hall 3, stand 3B15.
