Ducati Diavel Lamborghini on the way... but what does that mean?

Documents reveal three new additions to the Ducati range, including a Multistrada Enduro Grand Tour, a Scrambler PRO Dark and a Lamborghini-inspired Diavel

Pesky revealing documents from the Environmental Protection Agency have once more betrayed Ducati and its hopes of keeping a few new models under wraps until their launch, with a trio of new variants seemingly winging their way to us soon.

Standing out amongst them is the Ducati Diavel Lamborghini, together with the Ducati Multistrada Enduro Grand Tour and the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO Dark.

Of these, it is the Lamborghini-inspired Ducati Diavel that grabs our attention first as parent company VW/Audi look to better align two of its most premium and raw sporting products for a spot of mutual promotion.

For now, all we have to go on is the name and the performance figures, which alas are no different to the 159hp 1262cc standard Diavel. As such, expect only cosmetic changes and since Lamborghini is definitely the least subtle of the Italian performance makers, it should stand out from the crowd.

We’re hoping Ducati goes for it and eschews the red entirely and adopts Lambo’s more customary yellow nd black as demonstrated on the Pramac Ducati MotoGP machines which change shade for the Italian MotoGP every year.

Elsewhere, the EPA documents also reveal the Ducati Multistrada Enduro is getting a Grand Tour addition, no doubt focused primarily on munching the miles with as much comfort and practicality as possible. It too has no changes to the oily bits but expect plenty of high-end accessories to come as standard.

Finally, there will be yet another new Scrambler to tempt you with the ‘Dark’ joining the PRO and Sport PRO ranges. We’ll wager the Dark will be… darker than the standard Scrambler, with stealthy detailing and a more understated appearance.

We expect to see this trio bolster the line-up of newer metal at Ducati’s annual model launch for 2021. Traditionally it is timed to coincide with the start of EICMA in October/November but with that not going ahead this year, it could come earlier.
