Ducati has announced the newest variation of the Multistrada, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, has entered production.

Ducati’s off-road history is not especially long or detailed, but its presence away from the asphalt has increased in recent years thanks mostly to the DesertX.

Late in 2022, the Bologna brand announced a new, more off-road-focused edition, of the Multistrada V4 would be released called the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally

The ‘Rally’ offers greater off-road capabilities than the standard Multistrada V4 thanks to an increase of 30mm to the wheel travel through the Showa Skyhook suspension, and a new off-road specific riding mode that cuts the peak power to 114 horsepower (from the 170 horsepower of the standard road modes) and turns down the intervention for electronic assists such as traction control.

Further, the range of the Rally is extended over the standard bike thanks to a new 30-litre fuel tank and low-speed deactivation of the engine’s rear cylinder bank.

Navigation on the bike is assisted by a 6.5-inch TFT display which is connectable via the Ducati Connect app, and in total there are three different versions of the Multistrada V4 Rally:

  • Adventure Radar - equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection
  • Adventure Radar & Travel - Adventure Radar equipment plus heated grips, heated seat, and aluminium side cases
  • Full Adventure - Adventure Radar & Travel plus an Akrapovic silencer and carbon front mudguard

Two colours for the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally are available, with ‘Ducati Red’ and ‘Brushed Aluminium and Black’ options.

Production of the bike has begun, and it is expected to arrive in dealers next month - February 2023.
