IN 2021, Ducati’s Multistrada V4 became the brand’s most popular line of models, and for 2022 it will see some updates, with new colours and an increase in technology for this year.

From March of this year, the Multistrada V4 will be available in a new ‘Iceberg White’ colour, for an additional price of 200€, or around £170, according to Motorrad.

On their website, Ducati also state a number of “electronic updates”, including a “Minimum Preload System”, will be available on the 2022 Multistrada V4 S. As Motorrad reported, this is an update of the Skyhook electronic suspension system already present on last year’s model, but this year will work semi-automatically for a better and safer experience when riding the Multistrada at low speeds.

Another electronic update for this year involves the infotainment system, and like the aforementioned electronic suspension update, it will be freely available to existing owners of the Multistrada V4 S, who will be contacted by Ducati by email or through the MyDucati app when the updates become available to them.

The final addition for this year’s bike will be the ‘lowered suspension kit’, which Ducati say will come with “fork springs, shock absorber springs, and side stand." Ducati say the lowered suspension kit will lower the height of the saddle “by 20mm.”

When Visordown reviewed the 2021 Multistrada V4 S, we praised it for its "excellent" steering, and its capabilities in various conditions, be it asphalt, dirt, open roads or cities. The 2022 model is clearly not going to be a revolution from what we saw last year, but the new additions Ducati have brought to the bike for 2022 ultimately promise a more tailored, personalised riding experience with the Multistrada V4 S.
