Exclusive Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK limited edition announced
Only 10 units of the Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK limited edition will be produced, with each being finished at the KRT HQ
AN exclusive version of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR has been announced, commemorating the factory racing World Superbike machines ridden by Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes.
The bikes are being finished and fettled at the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) HQ in Friedrichsdorf, and sadly for UK-based Kawasaki fans, it’s only going to be available in Germany.
On top of the already long list of trick upgrades over the standard ZX-10R, lighter pistons and rods, Marchesini forged wheels, DLC-coated piston pins and optimized valve springs being just a few, the WorldSBK editions also feature a carbon Akrapovic end can tinted screen and race replica graphics and decals. Furthermore, the bikes will feature a plaque on the fuel tank cover, denoting the bike’s serial number.
Each bike will also arrive complete with a WorldSBK Edition care package, coming in the form of a box with a certificate of authenticity, signed by Rea and Lowes, a laser-etched glass block (featuring a visual representation of the bike), a key chain and an I-Clip.
The final element to finish the bikes off is a sticker kit for the machine, to transform it into an Alex Lowes of Jonathan Rae replica, with number boards for both riders being included.
For those looking for a little more performance, the bike can further be enhanced, with the addition of the optional race kit of parts. This system unlocks the variable length of the intake funnels (VAI) and means more air can be funnelled into the engine, boosting the power output and improving the delivery.
As mentioned at the top, only ten will be built and the listed price for the bike on the Kawasaki Germany website is a punchy €33,145. To put that into perspective, it’s around €3,000 more than the stock ZX-10RR performance edition machine.
