The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports has also had a 2020 overhaul. It has a lighter frame, revised fairing, and a continent-crossing 25l fuel tank.
THE 2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports takes the Africa Twin concept and turns the Adventure dial up to eleven.

What’s new on the 2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports?

Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports adventure upgrades
To help make the Africa Twin the standout adventure machine in the class, the 2020 machine has been totally redesigned, making it lighter, more off-road focussed and comfortable when riding on and off-road.
To start with, the fairing is enlarged to offer more wind and weather protection for both rider and passenger, with a five-level adjustable screen now offered as standard – something sadly lacking on the old version. There’s good news too for shorter riders, as the Adventure Sports now shares its seat height with the base version. This means an 850-870mm seat unit (down considerably from the 900-920mm of the previous model) that’s also slimmer thanks to a revised frame. No more sliding off the side of the bike at the traffic lights for Toad!
The new Adventure Sports is also available with Showa EERA as an option. Four default modes – SOFT, MID, HARD and OFF-ROAD – as well as a USER mode, allowing for a bespoke setup. Rear spring preload can also be adjusted while stationary.
Just like the 2020 Africa Twin, its engine produces 7% more peak power and 6% more peak torque and is much stronger everywhere in the rev-range compared to the previous design. It’s also EURO5 compliant.
