Husqvarna introduce the 701 Enduro LR
The new Husqvarna701 Enduro LR boasts an adventure bike beating 25-litre fuel tank!
HUSQVARNA has just pulled the covers off it’s latest enduro machine in the form of the 701 Enduro LR.
Based around the successful 701 Enduro, the main upgrade for the LR is that is features a mammoth 25-litre fuel tank, on a par with some full-size adventure motorcycles! We’d hazard a guess that the LR in its name stands for ‘long-range’, as the bigger tank gives the LR a claimed range of around 300-miles off-road.
Powering the bike is a 690cc engine that can trace its DNA back to the KTM Duke 690, and which produces an arm-stretching 74bhp and 71Nm (52ft-lbs) of torque. To help smooth out the blips, the 701 Enduro LR is fitted with a ride-by-wire throttle and comes equipped with riding modes and lean-angle sensitive traction control.
Alongside the IMU controlled traction control is full cornering ABS provided by Bosch, with Brembo providing the hardware. Up front is a 300mm disc and two-piston caliper with a 240mm disc and single-piston caliper at the rear.
Other hardware on the trick looking machine comes from WP, with XPLOR forks and rear shock, Adler slipper clutch and CNC machined triple clamps.
