Indian Chief celebrates 100-years in style with all-new 2021 Chief range
The Indian range gets a massive update for 2021 with new Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse, and Super Chief Limited models
INDIAN Motorcycle, America’s oldest motorcycle maker, has unveiled a new range of cruisers, the Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse, and Super Chief Limited models.
Indian Springfield Dark Horse review
At the heart of the new models is the phenomenal Thunderstroke 116 engine which produces a mammoth 162 Nm (119lb-ft) of torque. ABS is standard across the range, as is the new 101mm Ride Command system that can be used via the touchscreen or through the handlebar controls.
As you expect from Indian, each bike in the range carries its own distinctive style and attitude, and each is refreshingly different from anything else on offer today. The Chief and Chief Bobber Dark Horse models provide a moody matt paint job with gloss-black finishes on the engine, while the Super Chief Limited goes for a more authentic, chrome finish.
The paired back styling of the bikes is for me what sets them apart. The huge V-twin pretty much dominates the bike giving it an ‘all-engine’ outline. If it’s as good to ride as it looks, I’m very much looking forward to getting a go on one of these!
