Malaguti Spectre GP 125: 125cc motorcycle on the way from Italian manufacturer
Malaguti is preparing a new 125cc motorcycle, the Malaguti Spectre GP 125, with 'underbone'-like styling and a potential 250km range.
A new 125cc motorcycle is on the way from Malaguti, who will be releasing the Spectre GP 125.
Malaguti is an Italian manufacturer, but evidently it has taken some inspiration from Asia for the Spectre GP 125. Undoubtedly, there is an ‘underbone’ quality to its look - certainly the realm of the Asian manufacturers.
Whatever the case about aesthetic subjectivity, what is certain is the maximum output of the 125cc four-stroke single-cylinder motor is 7.2kW, or 9.7 horsepower, while 9.6Nm is produced at 6,500rpm.
A five-speed transmission is used to supply the power to the rear wheel, and when enough power has been supplied and the speed becomes too high (a maximum of 94kph or 54mph is possible), the rider can call on a single 320mm front brake to get hauled up. At the rear, there is a 190mm disc.
As for the suspension, a conventional telescopic fork is used at the front, while the rear suspension is unspecified. The suspension will hold up a weight of 123kg when the five-litre fuel tank has been filled. With a fuel consumption figure of 2 litres per 100km, a maximum range of 250km (155 miles) is possible.
A maximum weight of 273kg is permitted, while there is space for two people and a 780mm seat height.
It is thought that the Malaguti Spectre GP 125 will be released later in 2023, although it is not yet confirmed. Additionally, UK pricing is not yet confirmed, but Motociclismo reports a price of €2,499, which equates to around £2,200 at time of writing (January 2023).
