New 2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition
Yamaha’s middleweight off-roader gets a refresh for 2023, with updated tech for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition
THE middleweight off-road segment has been bolstered for 2023, with updates announced for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition.
The Ténéré 700 has been a big hit for the Iwata manufacturer since it was launched in 2019. That success was down to the bike’s excellent value for money, off-road capability and that brilliant crossplane CP2 engine. Because of this format, the updates to the off-roader are more a case of evolution, and not revolution.
2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition changes
For 2023 the user experienced has been boosted with the welcome addition of new instrumentation that includes smartphone connectivity. That comes along and ABS refinements.
All riders will likely appreciate the new 5” TFT colour dash, taking over from a slightly dated looking LCD display. The new dash brings with it switchable screen themes, Explorer and Street, and also adds smartphone connectivity. The new TFT feeds the rider notifications of incoming calls, emails and text messages and allows you to link to the Yamaha My Ride app.
Other updates include pre-wiring for QSS, a new USB socket, redesigned front brake lever and LED indicators. For those that like to hit the trails, the capability of the bike has been boosted, with improved 3-mode switchable ABS that can now be set to ‘ON’, ‘OFF’ or ‘REAR OFF’ modes. All the changes mentioned apply to both the Ténéré 700 and the fruity Ténéré 700 Rally Edition.
Both the bikes will be on display at Motorcycle Live this November, with pricing and availability set to be announced at the show on the 19th.
