New learner-legal electric bikes from Zero
Plus more power and torque for whole range

ZERO Motorcycles has upgraded its range of electric bikes with more power and torque for 2017, while introducing two new learner-legal models.
A new motor across the range is claimed to allow more aggressive riding and longer sustained high speeds, while delivering up to 107lbft in the top-spec SR model and its more dirt-focused sibling, the DSR.
The learner-legal models are lower-powered versions of the Zero S (pictured above) and Zero DS (below), rated at 15hp instead of 28hp. That means they fall within the limitations of a learner or A1 licence despite making 78lbft of torque.
Zero says they’ve got lighter and more compact power packs, saving 43kg and freeing-up space for a lockable storage compartment.
The FX and FXS models – trail and supermoto versions of the same machine – are also lighter thanks to a new integrated battery.
Zero has been expanding its dealer network too, and now has four in the UK. Find details here.
