Italian off-roads can enjoy the new V-Strom 800 DE with a new retro flavour in 2024, as the V-Strom 800 DE Djebel is announced.

The bike pays homage to the DR650 R Djebel of the late 80s and early 90s, and like its retro sibling, the new bike features a typically evocative paint job along with a number of off-road goodies to make the V-Strom 800 DE an even more focused adventure bike.

The new special edition comes complete with Dunlop TrailMax Raid knobbly road-legal off-road hoops, and an Akrapovic end can for that authentic adventure bike sound. The bike also features a slightly more expensive front windscreen than the one found on the existing model.

The real star of the show, though, is the paintwork, and rather than just finish at the bike’s bodywork, Suzuki Italy carried the retro styling on with a body-coloured and lovely-looking engine-guard helping to brighten up the underside of the engine.

The technical specification of the bike remains the same, though, meaning you get 84bhp and 57.5lb ft of torque from the crossplane parallel twin-cylinder engine, an all-up weight of 230kg, 220mm of ground clearance, and a seat height of 855mm.

The bike is available to order now, although sadly for us UK riders it’s only open to Italian residents and will seemingly not be officially coming to these shores. Pricing has been set at €13,900 (£11,918) making it €2,400 (£2,057) more than the stock and standard V-Strom 800 DE. Bikes will be built once an order has been placed, with Suzuki Italy claiming it’ll take no more than 60 days for delivery.
