Yamaha MT-125 and MT-07 get connected with new TFT dash

The top-selling Yamaga MT-125 and Yamaha MT-07 have been brought up to date for 2023 with an upgraded TFT dashboard and improved connectivity.

Part of Yamaha’s popular ‘Masters of Torque’ naked line-up - together with the MT-10, MT-09 and MT-03 - the entry-level Yamaha MT-125 and mid-range Yamaha MT-07 are most popular models from a range that has shifted 420,000 units in Europe alone over the past decade.

Following on from the launch of the latest generation Yamaha MT-10, the MT-07 - last updated in 2020 - and the pint-size MT-125 get a new full-colour TFT dashboard with smartphone connectivity.

Available with the choice of two different screen themes, the Street layout features a contemporary bar-type tachometer at the top and digital speedo with gear selection readouts, while the Touring theme has the more conventional analogue-style tachometer with a digital speedometer to the left.

The display is also compatible with a smartphone device to allow you to receive and control certain features - such as Bluetooth, email and message notifications - while Yamaha’s MyRide app includes route tracking, distances covered and linking with other Yamaha MT riders.

In addition, the MT-07 also comes with pre-wiring for easy quickshift fitment should you accessorise it, while the MT-125 adds traction control too.

Prices for the MY2023 Yamaha MT-125 and Yamaha MT-07 are yet to be confirmed, but the 2022 ranges are available from £4,800 and £7,200 respectively. Colours remain unchanged with the Cyan Storm, Icon Blue and Tech Black options available for both models.
