Alpinestars launch next generation Tech-Air airbag systems at CES
Alpinestars has pulled the wraps off four new Tech-Air motorcycle airbag systems at CES Las Vegas
THE Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas might seem like an unlikely place to gather motorcycle news from, but year after year, motorcycle makers and kit and tech manufacturers use the event as a springboard to launch new two-wheeled products.
And 2022 is no different, with motorcycle clothing giant Alpinestars using the event to launch its latest and most technologically advanced airbag systems ever.
The release confirms new Tech-Air 10, Tech-Air 3, and Tech-Air Off-Road V2 autonomous Airbag Systems.
Alpinestars Tech-Air 10
The headline product announced at CES is the Tech-Air 10, a standalone airbag system that is completely self-contained and autonomous. The knowledge and experience of competing in MotoGP and WorldSBK have trickled down to the Tech-Ari 10, and Alpinestars are claiming it provides unrivalled body protection to racers, track day riders, and road riders by covering the rider’s shoulders, chest, full back, and hips.
Alpinestars Tech-Air 3
At the other end of the spectrum and away from the world of high-performance bikes is the Tech-Air 3. It’s an over-jacket airbag system designed for commuters and road riders and is suitable for use in all weather conditions.
The bright outer material will help with visibility on those gloomy winter nights, and the entire system can be folded up and stored in a rucksack or under-seat compartment when not in use.
Alpinestars Tech-Air Off-road V2
For those that prefer their riding to be done on the muddier side of the tracks, the Alpinestars Tech-Air Off-road V2 has been presented.
Like the Tech-Air 10 above, the airbag has been developed at the highest level, with the last three Dakar rallies featuring riders wearing iterations of this very system.
The Tech-Air Off-road V2 will be available for purchase later in 2022.
