MICRON HAVE revealed its new GP Sport exhaust for Honda’s new 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.
The original bike’s catalytic converter has been replaced by Micron’s specially designed under-body silencer, designed on the company’s computer-aided-design system.
The end-can is available in three finished – High Mirror Polish, Satin Silver and Ceramic Carbon Black.
The Micron system reduces the Fireblade’s weight by 2.6kgs and boosts power by 3.5bhp at 7,500rpm, along with a 2.5ft.lbs increase in torque at the same rpm.
The Fireblade’s GP Sport is approved to BSAU1983/T3 for road use and has a removable baffle, which matches the standard machine's noise output. It is also trackday-legal with the baffle removed removed, producing 97dB at 5,500rpm.
Micron’s GP Sport for the 2008 CBR1000RR Honda Fireblade will retail at £299.95 including VAT for the Satin Silver, with an additional £50 for the Mirror Polish and Carbon Black options.
