BSB Snetterton Race 2 Results | Jason O'Halloran adds 10th BSB win at Snetterton
Jason O'Halloran continues his winning ways at Snetterton as a tenth win of the year strengthens his status as the 2021 BSB title favourite
Jason O’Halloran continued to stamp his mark on the opposition ahead of the 2021 BSB Title Showdown as he notched up a remarkable tenth win in 20 races, this time at Snetterton.
After finishing behind his McAMS Yamaha team-mate Tarran Mackenzie in Race 1, O’Halloran duked it out with his Scottish counterpart into the closing stages, the pair swapping positions into the final lap before the Aussie came out on top.
Safely booked into the upcoming three event, nine-race showdown to decide the title between himself and seven rivals, O’Halloran nonetheless remains the man to beat with a huge advantage now standing at 119 points.
Still, Mackenzie pushed him hard, the pair having worked their way past a fast-starting Gino Rea in the early laps to scuffle between themselves for the race honours.
However, despite Mackenzie’s best efforts to unsettle O’Halloran on the final lap with a pass at Agostini, it was the more experienced of the pair to strike back definitively at Brundle to sprint home the winner.
Tommy Bridewell moved into the Title Showdown finalists with a run to third position, having started from pole, while Josh Brookes’ steady return to form continued with another fourth place finish. Early leader Rea rounded out the top five for Suzuki.
Lee Jackson and Ryan Vickers flew the flag for Kawasaki in sixth and seventh respectively, with Andrew Irwin, Rory Skinner and Peter Hickman filling out the top ten positions.
