2021 will see a new name joining the MotoGP paddock as the GASGAS team will be joining the circus to compete in the Moto3 World Championship.

The squad will be the first time that the GASGAS name has competed on Tarmac, having already won in the trials, enduro, rally, MXGP, and US Supercross arenas. Hoping to succeed next season, the factory has teamed up with the extremely experienced Aspar Moto3 team, which, under the stewardship of team boss Jorge Martinez, has taken four Moto3 rider’s titles.

While the bikes on track will most definitely look like GASGAS machines, beneath the branding there beats a more familiar heart as both bikes are KTM RC 250 GP machines. The pilots in the squad, Sergio Garcia and Izan Guevara, will be trying out the firm's own brand of bikes at some point during the year though. With the GASGAS potent and varied range of off-road and enduro machines, and MotoGP racer's love for a bit of dirt-based training - it's only a matter of time before the riders and bikes come together.

There is also no better place than the Moto3™ World Championship, as the category represents the first step on the MotoGP™ ladder – it’s the perfect proving ground when it comes to selecting and nurturing new rider talent. With the extremely successful Aspar Team managing the brand’s arrival, we’re really looking forward to seeing our distinctive GASGAS bikes out on track at the first race of the 2021 season.”

As a proud Spanish team, to be the first to work with a brand with such strong Spanish roots, to take it into the highest level of international road racing, is very, very special. 2021 is looking to be an extremely exciting season for us!
