Tommy Bridewell returns to Ducati with new BSB team
Tommy Bridewell will return to Ducati machinery for the 2026 BSB season after joining the new Superbike Advocates Team.

New BSB team Superbike Advocates has just pulled off a major coup by signing 2023 series champion Tommy Bridewell.
Bridewell won the 2023 title in what turned out to be his final season riding a Panigale V4, before joining the Honda Racing team in 2024 aboard the then brand-new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. The partnership clicked almost immediately, with Bridewell and the Fireblade regularly featuring at the sharp end of the field.
Bridewell would eventually go close to making it back-to-back BSB title wins, as he finished runner-up to Yamaha's Kyle Ryde by just one point. The 2025 season was not as easy for Bridewell and Honda, with the partnership yielding one win compared to the three victories they managed together in 2024.

But Bridewell will now return to Ducati machinery as part of his switch to the Lee Khouri-owned team.
Speaking after his new deal with the team, Bridewell said:
“2026 is going to be a whole new challenge for us all and we are really motivated for next season. Most people know how determined I am, so to be involved with this completely new project and being involved in making it happen is something I am really excited about.
“For me, joining Superbike Advocates as a new team on the BSB grid and a completely new project is one of those new challenges I thrive from. Especially as I have seen how passionate and enthusiastic Lee, the team owner, and the crew behind this project are to make it a success.
“When they approached me about racing the new Ducati V4 R – I was sold! It is always quite nerve-wracking to start a brand new project, but those initial nerves soon went away when we started to build the foundations for next year. We have been working together to make sure I have the best crew around me, and I have played a big part in that and have been able to give my input on personnel and technicians, which is really nice for me.”
Prior to this announcement, the new Superbike Advocates Team was forced to change its managerial plans for next season. That’s because the team’s original agreement with four-time WorldSBK champion Carl Fogarty was terminated by the former racer at the end of August.
Fogarty was set to join the team in a leading role, however, he ultimately made the decision to withdraw from the project due to personal reasons.
