Triumph has taken its mid-capacity naked range to the next level with the ultra-sporty Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 models.

With these two new road bikes Triumph says it intends to “set an even higher benchmark for performance, exclusivity, and track-focused capability”. The new RX model will be available for one year only, according to the Hinckley-based manufacturer.

As part of its upgrade, the new Street Triple 765 RX gets fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 front suspension “for superior feedback and control on the track”.

The RS model features a different suspension setup at the front compared to the RX, as it makes use of Showa 41mm upside-down Big Piston Forks (BPF) instead. However, both suspension systems provide adjustable compression and rebound damping, preload adjustment, and 115mm wheel travel. The RX shares its Öhlins system with the new Moto2 edition.

The new Street Triple 765 RX positions itself above the RS model, and also features several exclusive design details, including a precision-machined upper yoke, and a laser-etched RX logo on its exhaust.

It also benefits from a bespoke RX-branded seat, while its Matt Aluminium Silver finish is paired with a Diablo Red rear subframe and wheels to match. There’s a particular vision that was set out with the new Street Triple 765 RX, as it pays tribute to the original Street Triple 675 RX.

The new Street Triple 765 RX houses the same 765cc, liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine as the RS, which produces 128.2bhp at 12,000rpm and 59 Ib-ft of torque at 9,500rpm.

The front suspension from Öhlins is paired with a STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock from the Swedish brand, with adjustable compression and rebound damping, and preload adjustment. The rear setup allows for 131.2mm of travel.

Braking is handled by none other than Brembo, both front and rear, with twin 310mm floating discs that are gripped by Stylema four-piston radial monobloc calipers. At the rear is a single 220mm disc, and Brembo single-piston caliper. ABS is also featured at the front and rear.

From there, the RX model gets a five-inch TFT display, seat height of 839mm, wet weight of 188kg, and a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres.

The Moto2 model gets all of the above, however, it naturally gets its own distinctive style thanks to its Mineral Grey and Crystal White colour scheme. The Moto2 Edition delivers further exclusivity with a bespoke start-up screen, alongside an individually numbered billet-machined top yoke that adds to its limited-edition status.
