The Hare Scramble looks absolutely insane!

You may as well forget everything you thought you knew about hard enduros and the Weston Beach race – the Red Bull Hare Scramble is probably the most insane off-road motorcycle race we’ve ever seen!

The race begins at the bottom of one of Europe’s largest iron ore quarry, where the racers head off from the start and straight into the throat of a narrow and rocky climb. The race takes place over 35km (22-miles) and the racers have four hours to complete the 27 checkpoints dotted around the course. It was Lettenbichler who was first to set the pace, taking over from Garcia and Jonny Walker shortly after the start.

However, it was Jarvis’ trials background – he’s won the Six Days Trial four times and the Scot Trial an incredible nine times! – that saw him eventually overhaul the leaders and win by two minutes.
