Cool Looking Caberg Freeride X Jet Helmet Launched
The classic-looking Freeride X is available in either fibre-glass or carbon fibre versions and comes in three shell sizes
Finally, somebody has brought out a jet-style (open-faced) motorcycle helmet that looks cool and isn’t going to break the bank! The lid in question is the Caberg Freeride X, the latest edition in its open-faced range.

Starting at the top, the most important piece of information - the price. The Freeride X has an MSRP starting at £179.99 and rising to £229.99 for one of the special paint finishes. Colour options available are Iron Special (above), Rusty Special (below), khaki green, black, matt black, white, and a carbon fibre edition - although that isn’t currently listed on the Caberg UK site, only the international website.
Retro the lid may look, but it includes a host of features making it very fit and ready for the modern world. First up is the ability to pair the Freeride X with a host of intercom systems, including the Caberg Pro Speak Evo communicator. That allows you to, once connected to your smartphone, listen to music through your mobile phone or MP3 player, to stay in touch with your travel companion or passenger up to a distance of 200m, and also to connect to a GPS.
It can be equipped as standard with a large, long, transparent visor inside the packaging, ideal for the winter months and out-of-town trips. And as you’d expect from a helmet being launched into the modern world, it’s passed all the tests required by the ECE 22.06 standard even with the communicator fitted.
The Freeride X comes in three outer shell sizes with two interior sizes for each shell. They are small (XS 53/54 and S 55/56), medium (M 57/58 and L 59), and large (XL 60 and XXL 61).
The Aprilia Freeride X is available to buy today through the official website.
