What was the most beautiful motorcycle of EICMA 2021? MV Agusta, Honda, Ducati?
Over 12,567 votes have been counted, and the results are in. The most beautiful motorcycle of EICMA 2021 is…
Hosted and run by Motociclismo.it every year since 2005 at the EICMA show, a simple question is asked - ‘what is the most beautiful motorcycle of the show?’
Somewhat unsurprisingly, Italian manufacturers Ducati and MV Agusta have shared the spoils across those 16 years (the 2020 year didn’t run), Ducati taking 10 wins with MV Agusta taking 6.
This year over 12,567 votes were counted, and the winner is…. the MV Agusta Superveloce Ago, taking 47.2% of the votes!
Also in contention was the Kawasaki Z650RS, Honda NT1100, Aprilia Tuareg 660 (which finished second with 19.4% of the votes), Triumph Speed Twin, Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail, and Moto Morini X-Cape, amongst a few others. Surprisingly, the Honda Fireblade 30th Anniversary was nowhere to be seen!
There to acknowledge the win was Giacomo Agostini himself, alongside Timur Sardarov (CEO of MV Agusta) with other senior members of the Italian board.
Speaking on the win, Sardarov has said ”For us it is another great recognition and further confirmation of how much energy and resources MV Agusta is dedicating to the constant development of new products,
“Having won this important competition for the sixth time is a great satisfaction for all of us. I want to dedicate this victory to all our employees who put incredible passion into their work every day.”
MV Agusta Superveloce Ago: confirmed as the most beautiful motorcycle!
Perhaps there’s just something about Italian machines that turn the eye, it’s undoubtedly beautiful and well worthy of the win - though a part of me is wondering if there’s a bit of national favouritism at play… if this was Eurovision I’d be demanding a recount, the UK can’t always finish on ‘nil poi’!
