Indian Forged Build Series Produces Three Customs For Famous Musicians
These three Indian Scout custom builds are a thing of beauty, but which would you pick for yourself?
In the three-part video series three 2025 custom Indian Scout motorcycles are built, all with a clear identity for all three.
The series was created to build a custom Indian scout for three Musicians, thanks to the design skills of Roland Sands, Brittney Olsen and Ronna Noren. The first of the three builds was the Sands-led build which would see Twenty One Pilots Drummer Josh Dun ride the bike, which was a Sport Scout. “We’ve always taken cruisers and made them into sportbikes,” said Sands when discussing the choice for his build.
When Dun receives his stunning Indian Sport Scout, which has custom exhaust, a set of FTR front fork and triple clamps, Brembo brake calipers and is fitted with RSD Dymag 17-inch wheels with sticky Dunlop Sportmax Q5S tyres.
Personally, it’s the pick of the bunch for me, but the other two builds are also very impressive. Olsen, who is a known racing fan, designed a bike based on Cecelia Adams who was a racer from the 1940s. Also a fan of vintage and motorcycles, country music singer Nikki Lane was the recipient of the custom build which was similar in appearance to the Scout Bobber.
The final child was constructed by Swedish Chopper builder Noren, who built the final Indian Scout of this forged series for heavy metal drummer Mikkey Dee, best known for his time in the band Motorhead before joining Scorpions, with whom he’s still with. A chopper that’s full of flair and style was quickly built by Noren, resulting in Dee being very pleased with the final outcome. The stock tank was replaced by a narrower frame, while it also received custom wheels.
Indian are known for their Scout models and currently have five in the 1250cc range. They include the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout and 101 Scout. New 2025 models, these Scout motorcycles have a new 1250cc V-twin engine and a new steel tube frame, which is a significant move, replacing the previous aluminium version.
