Honda announces 2023 Japan Mobility Show exhibitions
The 2023 Japan Mobility Show is just over one month away, and Honda has announced its planned exhibitions, including two motorcycles.
Honda has announced its exhibitions for the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, set to take place between the end of October and beginning of November.
The 2023 Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show) will open to the public on 28 October, and conclude on 5 November. Honda’s list of exhibitions includes two powered two-wheelers (PTW).
The first PTW in question is a part of a concept project named ‘Sustaina-C’, with the bike itself named ‘SC e: Concept’ (top of page). It is powered by two of Honda’s Mobile Power Pack e: swappable batteries and is an electric scooter that seems to be slightly larger in size than Honda’s first production model, the EM1 e:. Honda says: “this model offers a smooth and powerful ride unique only to an electric motorcycle and realises more comfort for people’s daily mobility.”
The aforementioned Mobile Power Pack e: (above) is another of Honda’s exhibitions at the Japan Mobility Show, as well as the ‘Pocket Concept’, which is, as the name suggests, an electric pocket bike (below).
Honda says it is conducting its mobility business based on its slogan “The Power of Dreams - How we move you.” Honda says this slogan means:
“The dreams of each and every one working at Honda have always been the driving force of Honda, and a variety of mobility products and services Honda creates with such power of dreams will move people physically, move people’s hearts, and help many people realise their dreams so that there will be an expanse of dreams toward the future.”
There are also a number of concept cars and even a concept hybrid VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) aircraft set to be exhibited at the show by Honda. Without wanting to talk too much about cars, it is worth noting perhaps the most beautiful four-wheeled vehicle in automotive history, the Honda CI-MEV, pictured below.
