KTM launches six-bike 2024 cross-country range

The 2024 KTM cross-country range has dropped, with three four-stroke XC-F models and three two-stroke XC models for the new model year.

It is April 2023, and 2024 has arrived with KTM’s new cross-country range. Both the XC and XC-F machines carry features from last year, but also have updates on the chassis.

Electronic fuel injection (EFI) is a particular innovation that KTM has recently brought to its two-stroke off-road motorcycles. That remains for 2024 on the KTM XC two-stroke cross-country machines, as well as different engine mappings.

On the XC-F four-stroke bikes, there is also traction control, launch control, and a quickshifter.

The “biggest improvement,” KTM says, to the orange cross-country motorcycles for 2024 comes in the suspension, which it says in a press release is “all new.”

A new 48mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge front fork gives “faster and more consistent damping characteristics,” KTM says, because of a new mid-valve piston concept that is designed to optimise the flow of oil within the cartridge. This is supposed to improve the consistency of suspension damping by avoiding oil foaming. The travel of the fork remains 300mm, and the overall length is now 940mm.

There is also a new hydro stop in the final 68mm of the suspension stroke, helping in “maintaining maximum reserves in extreme riding situations,” KTM says.

Reliability is improved in the front forks with new protection rings that offer improved resistance to dirt, making it harder for the dirt to find its way into the fork.

At the back, the shock is still from the WP XACT range, like the front, which is shorter and lighter than before, but still offers 300mm of wheel travel.

Both the fork and shock are adjustable via clickers, meaning adjustability is toolless.

The 2024 KTM cross-country range is available in six models, with three four-strokes and three two-strokes. On the four-stroke side, we have the XC-F 450, XC-F 350, and XC-F 250, while on the two-stroke side of things there are the XC 300, XC 250, and XC 125.

KTM’s 2024 cross-country range is expected to be available in dealers from this month (April 2023). Find your nearest dealer on the KTM website.
