KL launches new Duel 125cc naked motorcycle for 2023
A new 125cc naked motorcycle has emerged from the Italian manufacturer, KL, who will begin marketing their new Duel next year.
The Italian brand, KL, has launched a new 125cc naked motorcycle in an expansion of its range.
KL’s motorcycle roster previously consisted of a couple of large scooters, the Brera and Brera X, and a 125cc dirt bike. Now, it has expanded to include the new Duel, a 125cc naked bike.
Contrary to current trends among smaller, less-established, manufacturers building 125-class motorcycles, the Duel is not an electric, and uses a traditional single-cylinder four-stroke internal combustion engine.
That single-cylinder makes use of four valves and a DOHC configuration, and produces a maximum power output of 9.5kW (12.7 horsepower) at 9,500 rpm, and 10.5Nm at 7,500 rpm.
The engine also features electronic fuel injection, and is fed from a 12-litre fuel tank.
Moving from engine to chassis, we find 37mm front forks, a single rear shock absorber, a 270mm front disc with floating three-piston calliper, a 220mm rear disc with floating single-piston calliper, and a combined braking system (CBS).
Wheel sizes are 17 inches front (with a 110/70-17 tyre) and rear (140/70-17 tyre).
The KL Duel is 2,000mm long, 775mm wide, and 995mm tall, with a 1,380mm wheelbase and 770mm seat height. Further, it weighs 142kg, and has a two-seater layout.
KL will sell the Duel in two different colour options: a black, grey and green option; and a grey, black and red option.
Finally, pricing is currently unconfirmed, officially, but Motociclismo reports an expected price of €3,440, which is equivalent to around £3,000.
