MV Agusta Brutale getting Tamburini restyle homage by late designer’s son
Andrea Tamburini - son of the late great designer Massimo Tamburini - will pay homage to the MV Agusta Brutale with retrospective restyle
If you like your motorcycles aggressive-looking and evocative then surely there are few models that could surpass the MV Agusta Brutale for aesthetic beauty.
Considered one of the most visually stunning motorcycles to originate from the pen of the late great Massimo Tamburini, the model has evolved over the years into a sporty, dynamic work of art.
While Tamburini’s legacy will endure beyond his lifetime, the inspiration has been passed on a generation to his son Andrea Tamburini, who has been tasked with giving the Brutale a design makeover to celebrate the model’s 20th anniversary.
The Brutale has come a long way since the original model debuted as a rival to the Ducati Monster with 798cc and 140hp. Today, the model has evolved into a larger, more striking Hyper Naked boasting 208hp to make it one of the most powerful in its class.
While the current model will be left untouched, Andrea Tamburini will get his hands on the Brutale 1090, 990 and 920 editions to give them a modern makeover with a retro twist that pays homage to the Tamburini reputation.
A teaser video has been released under the moniker ‘T01 Project by Tamburini Corse’ which is also a nod to the Tamburini T12 Massimo, launched in 2016 in limited numbers.
The announcement comes as MV Agusta is rumoured to use the upcoming EICMA show as the moment to unveil the revival of the F4. Considered one of Tamburini’s greatest works, the new flagship sportsbike is being designed by Horatio Pagani, owner of the Pagani supercar company.
